It’s taken over 20 years for leading Mount Gambier trainer Allen Williams to win his local Cup and today that dream came true. Allen prepared Colville out of the red box in today’s $6,000 Trackside Meats Mount Gambier Cup Final and in front of a big crowd he didn’t disappoint punching through on the first turn to lead throughout and hold of the challenge of Ima Shoopa Star who was gallant in defeat with hot favourite Baurna Paddy filling third place after a slow start. Colville is owned by Don and Gail Turner and was sent to the South East kennels of Allen Williams back in October where he has since thrived winning 7 races including todays Mt Gambier Cup.
